Discover the timeless beauty of Rustic White Oak flooring!
Our exclusive line of 8″ wide Rustic White Oak engineered flooring is crafted from highly configured live-sawn salvaged planks and pre-finished in three striking colors; Natural, Fumed, and Vintage.
This exceptional wide plank flooring is an impressive 3/4″ overall thickness, with a substantial 1/4″ thick wear layer atop a sturdy 1/2″ plywood base! Our flooring surpasses thinner engineered options, delivering the enduring strength and longevity of solid wood.
Capable of being refinished multiple times, each 8″ wide plank arrives in random lengths up to 8 feet, dramatically reducing installation time. Enjoy the convenience of factory-direct shipping to any location within the continental U.S.
So what are live-sawn planks?
Live sawing is a historic milling technique that cuts straight through the diameter of a log, producing planks with a rich mix of grain variations and natural characteristics displayed throughout the plank. This method is the most efficient and sustainable way to cut lumber, reducing waste and maximizing the wood’s strength and beauty.
Because of its high tannin content, White Oak is world-renowned for its durability and rot resistance. This same durability made it the preferred wood for shipbuilding, docks, and piers throughout history.
We epoxy fill all voids, mill a tongue & groove on all 4 sides, grade to our 99% usable specifications, and pre-finish with a no VOC UV-cured Aluminum Oxide matte finish. We require a minimum purchase of 200-square-feet for this wide plank White Oak flooring.
Unlike most engineered flooring that has a 1/16″ wear layer, our rustic White Oak flooring boasts a 1/4″ thick wear layer —providing the same refinishing potential as solid wood.
WHAT IS ENGINEERED FLOORING?
Engineered flooring is designed for superior stability and versatile installation. Unlike solid hardwood, it is constructed with multiple layers of wood arranged in opposing directions—a technique known as “cross-ply” construction. This method helps protect the flooring from moisture-related issues by minimizing expansion and contraction. As the planks respond to humidity changes, their opposing layers balance movement, significantly reducing the risk of cupping or crowning.
Thanks to its enhanced durability, our White Oak engineered flooring can be installed in any area of the home, including basements and directly over concrete slabs. Installation is flexible, with options to staple, glue, nail, or float the planks over existing subfloors, making it a practical choice for a variety of spaces.
Whether you’re installing it in a modern farmhouse, rustic cabin, or contemporary home, our rustic White Oak engineered flooring offers beauty, durability, and timeless appeal.
