Capable of being refinished multiple times, each 7″ wide plank arrives in random lengths up to 8 feet, dramatically reducing installation time. So what are live-sawn planks?
Live-sawing, the historic method of sawing a log straight through its diameter, is used to create our Hickory wood floors. This method produces unique grain variations and displays a high level of natural characteristics throughout each plank. Not only does live-sawing yield aesthetically rich results, but it is also the most efficient cutting method, resulting in significantly less waste compared to other techniques.

The hardness of Hickory makes it highly resistant to marring. Boasting a Janka rating of 1820, Hickory is considered the second hardest flooring species in the country. Our rustic Hickory hardwood flooring showcases unique grain patterns, natural mineral streaks, sound knots, and beautiful color variations within each plank.

We meticulously epoxy-fill all voids, mill tongue & grooves on all four sides, and grade it to our 99% usable specifications, and pre-finish with a no VOC UV-cured Aluminum Oxide matte finish. Note: our Hickory flooring for sale requires a minimum purchase of 200 square feet.

WHAT IS ENGINEERED FLOORING?

Engineered floors, like our rustic Hickory engineered hardwood flooring, consist of multiple wood sheets bonded together. This cross-ply construction arranges the layers in opposing directions to enhance stability, effectively protecting against moisture issues. The unique arrangement allows the planks to expand and contract in such a way that limits cupping and crowning when exposed to varying humidity levels. Thanks to their versatile design, engineered floors can be installed anywhere in the home—from basements to directly on concrete slabs. They can be stapled, glued, nailed, or even floated over an existing subfloor.
