Why we’re sustainablePosted: August 12, 2019
All our Douglas Fir wall paneling and flooring comes from salvaged and SFI Certified (Sustainable Forest Initiative) timber. Currently our logs are being harvested from the Rice Ridge mega fire in the Lolo National Forest near Seeley Lake Montana. This mega fire burned over a 160,000 acres in 2017.
As featured in National Geographic, Our Beetle Killed Blue Pine wall paneling and flooring is produced from 100% salvaged Ponderosa Pine trees killed by the Mountain Pine Beetle. Currently all our logs are being harvested from the Big Hole Valley in Montana.
Our exclusive line of Montucky Oak Wall Planks are produced from reclaimed horse farm fencing which have housed and protected some of the most famous race horses in history. Thousands of miles of Oak fencing surround beautiful thoroughbred horse farms in rural Kentucky, the horse capital of the world. Known for it’s durability and resilience, these world renowned recycled wooden fences travel to pristine Montana to be re-purposed and receive a second life as our exclusive line of Montucky Oak Wall Planks.
Authentic Bourbon Whiskey is aged to perfection over several years in 53 gallon new white oak barrels. Weighing over 350 pounds each, thousands of these barrels are commonly stored in massive wooden warehouses built in the late 1800’s. Straight from the Heart of Bourbon Country, these reclaimed Bourbon warehouses and barns now receive a new life as our Distillery Hardwood Wall Planks.
