24 options of prefinished Douglas Fir Flooring
Posted: August 9, 2021Known worldwide for its superior stability and durability, Douglas Fir has been a preferred wood species for flooring throughout the Rocky Mountain West for over a century. Douglas Fir has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any wood species. It has been used throughout the US since the 1800′s and is often found in classic historic homes on the East Coast. Natural rot and decay characteristics make Douglas Fir an excellent choice in all building applications.
We specialize in prefinished textured flooring, which is great for commercial locations, restaurants, bars, or any high-traffic area. Our 3 wood floor texture options help hide the inevitable dents, dings, and scratches that naturally occur over time. If maintained properly our Doug Fir Floors will last years without having to refinish them.
With a 200-year-old proven track record, old barns, granaries, and western structures contain Douglas Fir that has withstood the test of time. Many of these old structures are currently being reclaimed, and the wood is remanufactured into flooring which will extend the life for another generation. Our streamlined manufacturing and factory direct sales and shipping reduce costs and pass the savings onto our customers. All of our durable wood floorings are manufactured from salvaged timber and SFI Certified wood harvested within a 100-mile radius of our facility, which keeps transportation costs at a minimum. Drying, milling, grading, and pre-finishing are done at one location prior to shipping factory direct anywhere in the U.S. Check out our wire brushed, circular sawn and hand scraped Douglas Fir wood floors.
Our Douglas Fir wood floors are available in 8 colors and 3 textures, for a total of 24 prefinished options.
