What is end matching and how does it work?Posted: April 1, 2019
End matching is where a piece of flooring, siding, or paneling has a T&G on the ends. This enables the installer to “float” studs or joists and locks each board together on all 4 sides. End matching creates little to no waste since you don’t have to cut the end of a board to fall perfectly onto a stud or joist. End matching creates faster installation and less waste which ultimately saves you money.
