We are very passionate about sustainable architecture at Sustainable Lumber Co. but sometimes it can feel like we don’t recognize how much lumber has changed the world.
Log Cabin Hub has just shared an infographic showing civilizations’ use of lumber from the beginning of time.
Did you know that Lumber was first used to construct Mesolithic buildings over 10,000 years ago? Such buildings could house around 25 people!
Since that time it’s been used in pyramids, bridges, temples, homes, cabins and much more.
One of the most impressive wooden structures ever built is the Nanchan Temple, which is now over 2000 years old.
